There\u2019s something new and exciting coming to Friday nights in Moate \u2014 and it\u2019s got rhythm, music, and a whole lot of fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Starting on Friday, 9th May<\/strong>, Moate Sports & Recreation Centre will play host to a brand-new Irish Country Dance class<\/strong> from 6\u20138pm<\/strong>, led by the enthusiastic duo Debbie and Killian<\/strong>. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or someone who\u2019s never stepped foot on a dance floor, this class is all about having fun, learning new moves, and enjoying some great music along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Debbie and Killian are bringing fresh energy and a love for dance to the community. Debbie has been dancing since she was a child, with a background in Irish dancing and set dancing, and more recently, Irish Country. She\u2019s the one who first taught Killian to dance \u2014 right around the kitchen table \u2014 and now the pair are just about to complete their Dance Federation of Ireland teacher qualification<\/strong> on 27th April<\/strong>. This will be their first official course, and they couldn\u2019t be more excited to share their passion with others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each week, the class will feature a mix of styles including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The music will be upbeat Irish Country<\/strong>, perfect for getting into the rhythm and having a laugh \u2014 even if your two left feet haven’t been on a dance floor before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n No fancy gear needed here \u2014 just comfortable clothes<\/strong>, a pair of runners or leather-soled shoes<\/strong>, and a bottle of water<\/strong> to keep you going. You don\u2019t need a partner<\/strong> either \u2014 this class is open to individuals of all ages and abilities, and it’s a great way to meet others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The class is currently aimed at beginners<\/strong>, but as interest grows, Debbie and Killian plan to introduce mixed levels so everyone can enjoy and progress at their own pace. Kids are welcome too, and the friendly, relaxed atmosphere means everyone will feel right at home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dancing isn\u2019t just about learning steps \u2014 it\u2019s about connecting with others, staying active, and having fun. As Debbie puts it, \u201cIt\u2019s for everyone \u2014 even if you\u2019ve two left feet!
