Join us for the annual Christmas Market on Sunday, 24th November, from 11 am to 6 pm at Moate Sports & Recreation Centre. Organised by the Mount Carmel Drive Residents Association, this event is the main fundraiser to maintain and improve the community’s all-inclusive playground and surrounding areas.
The residents association, formed in 2018 with support from Westmeath Community Development and Westmeath County Council, comprises seven dedicated women who led the creation of the playground through grants and local fundraising. The market features around 50 stalls with festive goods, food, and crafts, as well as a raffle with great prizes. With backing from local businesses and councillors Tom Farrell and Vinny McCormack, the event is a cherished community highlight.
Funds raised go directly to maintaining the playground and community spaces. Don’t miss this chance to support a great cause while enjoying the festive atmosphere—there may even be a special visit from Santa!
