We’re delighted to share that Moate Pickleball Club, operating under Moate Community Youth + Sports Association at Moate Sports & Recreation Centre, has been selected for the Tesco Community Fund at Tesco Golden Island.
What Is the Tesco Community Fund?
The Tesco Community Fund is a local initiative that supports community groups and charities. When customers shop in participating Tesco stores, they receive a blue token at the checkout. These tokens can then be placed into one of three community group boxes in-store.
At the end of the funding period, the group with the most tokens receives the highest level of funding, with the other groups also receiving support.
How You Can Help

- Collect your blue token at the checkout.

That’s it — it costs nothing and takes a few seconds.
What the Funding Will Be Used For
Moate Pickleball Club is one of the fastest-growing activities at the Centre. Since launching in 2024, the club has gone from strength to strength, welcoming players of all ages and abilities.
Any funding received will go towards:
- Upgrading equipment
- Supporting new and beginner players
- Continuing to build a strong, inclusive community sport in Moate
As a social enterprise centre, funding like this helps us expand opportunities without increasing costs for participants.
