Do you love Indian food but find it challenging to replicate those vibrant, aromatic dishes at home? Now’s your chance to learn from an expert!

Join us at Moate Sports & Recreation Centre for a 2-day Indian Cooking Workshop with Fatima, who brings over 22 years of cooking experience and 10 years of teaching. Fatima will guide you through the essential techniques to prepare some of the most popular Indian dishes.

What You’ll Learn

Over two evenings, you will learn how to make:

  • Tikka Masala: A creamy and mildly spiced curry, Tikka Masala features tender marinated chicken pieces cooked in a rich tomato-based sauce, flavoured with a blend of garam masala, cumin, and coriander. This popular dish is known for its vibrant orange colour and smooth, velvety texture.
  • Vindaloo: A bold and spicy curry, Vindaloo originates from Goa and is famous for its tangy, fiery flavour. Typically made with vinegar, garlic, and a variety of spices, this dish delivers a satisfying heat balanced by the depth of its aromatic spice mix.
  • Butter Chicken: This mild, indulgent curry is a favourite for those who enjoy creamy, rich flavours. Butter Chicken, or “Murgh Makhani,” features succulent pieces of chicken simmered in a buttery tomato sauce with a touch of cream, resulting in a smooth, slightly sweet dish with a hint of spice.
  • Chicken Biryani: An aromatic and flavourful rice dish, Chicken Biryani is a layered combination of fragrant basmati rice, tender chicken, and a complex blend of spices like saffron, cardamom, and cinnamon. This one-pot dish is both a feast for the eyes and the palate, known for its vibrant colours and rich flavours.
  • Naan Bread: Soft and pillowy, naan is a traditional Indian flatbread cooked in a tandoor or on a hot griddle. It’s perfect for scooping up curries and sauces. Made with a dough that includes yoghurt or milk, naan has a slightly chewy texture and can be served plain or topped with garlic or butter.

All ingredients will be provided, and Fatima will take you through each step in a relaxed, friendly environment.
